SHABLAM:

While we are speaking in onomatopoeia,

"Girl, what did that girl just say, girl?" This queen is giving basic boot camp for drag queens as she throws an arsenal of things a young queen should be able to do before she hits the stage or even the make-up chair.

For those living in other countries that block U.S. Youtube the artist is Todrick Hall and the song is, "Nails, Hair, Hips, Heels".

SPY:

I recently saw the movie SPY with Melissa McCarthy and Jason Statham etc.
Mostly Jason Statham.
It was mostly Jason Statham and mostly the reason I needed to watch it.

It's actually a funny movie. It's not why we're here today though. It's the lush James Bond influenced opening number, "Who Can You Trust" that's sung with a very Shirley Bassey approach. I just assumed it was K.D. Lang. So I went looking for it using (K.D. Lang spy theme) with no results. Then searched (Spy the movie theme) and came up with Ivy Levan.

Wow.

What I'm Listening To:

So I got a text from my cousin last night asking me to watch a video. I clicked the link and was pleasantly surprised by what I heard and now I'm sharing with you guys. The video was uploaded yesterday and already has almost 2000 hits. One thing that bothered me was the fact that 1 single solitary person chose to hit the "thumbs down" button! Must be a jealous schoolmate. Sucks for that one because I think this girl will be on the radio sooner than later. By the way Charleston or "Charli" is from Gulf Shores AL, just down the road.

Enjoy

It's a Barbra Day:

Not just any ole Barbra.

Jim Bailey as Barbra.

The best Barbra in the world.

He's better than Barbra.

Must See T.V.

I have an addictive television personality.

I SAID IT!

I have a television in the bedroom and the kitchen and the living room and the dining room and the bathroom and the mudroom and the laundry room and the closet and the work shed. I have a DVR, VCR, DCR and a Tivo. I stream shows on my computer and my I-Phone.

On a side note, did you guys know that the I-Phone is also…a phone?

Who knew?

I start my viewing day in the early morning watching, The Today Show and later, The Tonight Show and end it with, The Tomorrow Show.

In the mornings while sipping coffee and clipping coupons with the girls we watch, The View, The Chew, The Talk and The Squawk. Later I catch up on my talent and singing shows, The Voice and The Choice and when I need to mix things up I watch, The Revolution and somewhere in the middle of all that I watch, The Middle. Sometimes when I lose the remotes I watch, The Mentalist or The Finder.

Later during the Prime Time block I watch, Awake, Touched and Mobbed which leads to, Missing, Scandal and Revenge. Then the various stages of, Lost, Grief and Grimm which is followed soon afterwards with, Reunions, Glee and Duets.

Then the whole day starts over again.

Modified:

I'm hungover. I'll be doing everything modified today.

Honors flysis Income beezis Onches nobis Inob keesis:

Many years ago when I was a little boy I would watch old movies. Sometimes I would even skip school if there was a good one and still kind of do. I’ll play sick and stay home from work and curl up on the couch and make a pig pen around me.

One day there was a screw ball movie, Murder, He Says, with Fred MacMurray and Marjorie Main about a man (Fred MacMurray) who works for, “the Trotter Poll same as the Gallop Poll only not in quite as much of a hurry.” He goes in search of another poll taker that went missing up at the Fleagle place. The Fleagle clan is crazy and is headed up by a whip-cracking Mamie Fleagle(Marjorie Main). The crazy family is looking for stolen money hidden in an old house with secret passages.

The secret to finding the money lies in a rhyme or like a cryptic Mairzy Doats that is repeated throughout the movie. Trust me, you don’t forget this rhyme. It goes, "Honors flysis Income beezis Onches nobis Inob keesis.". But it’s the tune that goes with it that sticks with you.

Years later I remember hearing the, “All Things Considered” theme on National Public Radio and thinking to myself that I know that tune. It’s the, "Honors flysis Income beezis Onches nobis Inob keesis" tune. I never thought much about it except for the fact that when I heard it I always sang the words, "Honors flysis Income beezis Onches nobis Inob keesis."

Surely this wasn’t a coincidence? The person who wrote the theme obviously was using the tune as sort of an inside joke. Turns out it’s not such a joke. As when NPR held a contest to put words to the All Things Considered theme and members of the audience responded with, "Honors flysis Income beezis Onches nobis Inob keesis."

BECAUSE THOSE ARE THE WORDS!

You be the judge.
