My Momma:

Since the passing of Elizabeth Taylor I’ve been having reflection about my own personal copy of her. See my mother is Elizabeth Taylor. At least I think so. Men always complement her and open doors for her and tell my father what a lucky man he is to have married such a lovely bride. I just assumed she was a star, but she’s a happy homemaker and my mom. She recently turned 75 and in the living room of my parents home (they’ve been married for 52 years) you’ll find an end table with a nail file, polish and tweezers. In her purse you’ll find a six pack of Tab because as she says, “You never know when you’ll find yourself stranded at an airport without it!”

Here’s to my Momma, my own personal Elizabeth Taylor.
