“I call this meeting of The Mean Dirty Pirate Internet Friends of Farrah Fawcett Fan Club to now be in session...”
My beloved Farrah has now been gone from this Earth for a year. I haven’t had any Farrah dreams either. She would visit me from time to time in my sleep chamber while she was still human. She’s now posthumous. I miss my Farrah dreams. I need to get a Farrah dream psychic.
I think a Farrah Fawcett Styling Head wake is in order if I can get a hold of my good good friend Jay Bernstein...what? What do you mean he’s dead? He’s dead...really? Whuuuuuuu...whuuuuuuuu...Is this thing on? I’m trying to make a eulogy here people! Bring me another bourbon. Is José Eber still with us? Did he pass himself on too?
Anyway back to the order of business at hand, I brought along a little Show-n-Tell, as I think we could all use a Farrah flip refresher:
Viva Los Angeles (President in perpetuity of the Mean Dirty Pirate Internet Friend’s of Farrah Fawcett Fan Club) would like to have a word,
“A year without Farrah is like watching season 4 with Shelly Hack!!!”.
I know right? The Hack was such a hack.
Viva has this memory to share with us today and which saddens me as I just recently parted with my old Cougar. No comments from the peanut gallery about an old Cougar that drives an old Cougar! PLEASE!
Viva:
“And you, Dirty Pirate, can kiss my feet!”
Kiss, Kiss, Kiss, Viva for sharing the trailer park of Sunburn. You know I actually went to see this at the theater, such was my devotion to Farrah Fawcett Majors, Charles Grodin, Art Carney and Joan Collins.
I would like to end this meeting of The Mean Dirty Pirate Internet Friends of Farrah Fawcett Fan Club's Remembrance of Farrah on the anniversary of her untimely passing by including this quote from Viva,
"Farrah Fawcett never gave up hope"
Farrah Fawcett (February 2, 1947 – June 25, 2009)
God bless her. Seriously.
ReplyDeleteI heard someone talking about her just today at Target.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm getting out the old hair dryer and a bathtowel.
My next Mercury will be named Farrah.
My Dad had a friend that dated her in college...they would double date. He said she was beautiful, girly and kind.
ReplyDeleteAnal cancer - it just makes me shiver. Who would have thought you had Farrah in your "gun-sight", so to speak. And why is their no Frrah Fawcett Center for the Study and Treatment of Anal Cancer? Life is indeed cruel. Seriously - I just learned that a guy I know (he once dated a good friend) has the same horrible disease. I'd sacrifice that jerk for Farrah back on earth anyday.
ReplyDeleteex-BIL was a classmate of Farrah. That is my brush with fame.
ReplyDeleteHard to believe it's been a year. Very sad.
ReplyDeleteThat went by so fast...
ReplyDeleteViva's next goal is to pay homage to 3130 Antelo Road in Bel Air - Farrah's Mansion (purchased last year by Mariah Carey for $7 million.)I remember reading from numerous interviews that one of the master bedroom's charms is a fireplace.
ReplyDelete"After their separation in July 1979, Farrah and Lee were divorced on February 16, 1982. Farrah kept their $1.3 million five-bedroom, 9,000-square-foot Bel Air home. Farrah sold the home in 1999 for nearly $2.7 million."
" It took 30 months of legal wrangling (she wanted their Beverly Hills mansion; he wanted a share of her endorsement earnings) and four days of arguing in court before their marriage formally ended."
That Golden Girl trailer is too funny! I love how it is supposed to be at the 1980 Olympics - the US did not participate, which makes it even more campy!
ReplyDelete- Viva Los Angeles
Where there's hair like that, there's ALWAYS hope, honey.
ReplyDeletehate to be a downer, but that dark haired girl's tutorial is not good. firstly, she really doesn't have a farrah haircut and more importantly, she ironed her hair in the wrong direction. what she did was a 2010 take on a farrah.
ReplyDeleteif someone needs one on one instruction from someone who "cuffed" with the best of them, please see my assistant, thank you.
