Bloody 98:

Okay I've been traveling for work lately, driving back and forth to Destin from Pensacola on highway 98 or as we like to call it "Bloody 98." I like to call it “White Trash Highway” and it seems like everyday there is a wreck with a car flipped over and upside down with dead passengers or a fire truck right in the middle of the hwy. This has got to be the most redneck stretch of road in the world with major congestion at all times of the day or night. Construction trucks, school buses and school zones, tourists, R.V.s, Grandpa creeping along, redneck ghetto chicks and boi’s riding in their “fast and furious” hoopty mobiles, just to name but a few of the trash that travels along the Bloody 98. I wouldn’t mind so much except that this is the only way to get to Destin. It takes an hour and a half to travel 45 miles, really! No my biggest complaint about the whole thing is that they don’t follow the rules of the road. In fact I don’t believe many of these folks ever passed the driver’s exam or if they did they don’t remember it. Maybe they can’t read? The sign clearly states, “Slower traffic keep right.” If everyone stayed in the right lane except to pass another vehicle the traffic would flow a lot more smoothly!
