I knew Jodie Foster was a talented kid but I had no idea she had an alternate parallel French singing career. Some of my earliest movie experiences involved Jodie Foster, first she and Johnny Whitaker were in Napoleon and Samantha, then Tom Sawyer, then Jodie was in Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore, (Weeeeird...that‘s for my brother) then Bugsy Malone, then The Little Girl Who Lived Down The Lane, all of which I saw at the matinee. Very few living people have been with us in our collective consciousness as long as she has except for maybe Brooke Shields, and Michael Jackson and Liz Taylor. Enjoy the many pantsuit fashion looks and facets of Jodie and revel in this video’s sheer Jodieness!
Weird. Very weird.
ReplyDeleteThat is pure magic. I know she's singing in French, but I'd swear flopsy-hat Jodie (aka Jodie #3) says "eat a bush".
ReplyDelete"Eat a bush" It must be some French Freudian Foreshadowing going on!
ReplyDeleteThat was lovely and very good french too! But no bush eating, unfortunately. That line goes:
ReplyDeleteTes yeux et ta bouche
Your eyes and your mouth
