Warren William Zevon (January 24, 1947 – September 7, 2003) was an American born rock and roll musician, singer and songwriter. He spent time as a session musician playing piano for the Everly Brothers and as a jingle composer. Zevon released his breakthrough album, Excitable Boy, in 1978 to critical acclaim and popular success which contained his most famous hit “Werewolves of London” In 2002, Zevon was diagnosed with inoperable mesothelioma, he died September 7, 2003, at age 56.
