Flip the Switch:

Swiped this from the restroom of the abandoned Gulf service station I've been turning tricks in lately. I kept flipping the switch to alert the attendant that I filthied it up and that it was in need of cleaning and fresh supplies. The flashing signal is apparently burned out.

Today I moved down the street to the abandoned Sinclair.

    1. That usually happens when I'm wearing my trench coat.

  4. I'm having flashbacks to when gas was 17 cents a gallon and the attendant would do the honors of putting 79 cents worth in my car for cruising on Friday night.

    1. My flashback involves the use of the Gulf credit card when you could fill the car and buy beer and snacks for $10.00 and they would ring it up as "groceries."

  5. I can only imagine what your "necessary supplies" might be while you're flicking something on and off... Jx

  6. The Gulf Station? I thought that sign looked familiar. I wonder who was behind me.

  8. What a wonderful souvenir to remind yourself of past events. Was there any urinal cakes? They make ideal drawer fresheners placed in a sock and tied with a decorative ribbon. the perfect gift to give to an elderly relative or a maid at Christmas time.

I would often get flashed at the park when I was a nipper, I think it was because I had long hair in the early 80s and was often mistaken for a girl, especially if I was wearing my sister's acid washed denim skirt with pink cardigan, did I run away screaming like the other children did, when an inquisitive old gentleman in a rain mac came near to waggle his dodah no I never!
