The Return of Classic Names:

In an earlier post I complained about how I hate the name, Brianna. Many comments revolving around the return of good solid classic names. Well, I had to go all the way to Gadsden Alabama to find some.

Pick and choose your favorite or mix and match.

Just please stop naming the babies such awful appellations.

”I have a Niece named Awful Appellation! How did you know?”

Does she have a daughter named, Brianna? Did she grow up in the Appalachian Mountains?

    Mr. Lexus

”My sister had a classmate named Penny Nichols.”

*Changes today’s drag name from Scarlett Maybeline to Penny Nichols*

    Peenee

”There is no name greater than "Dot." It's a known fact.”

A fact borne out by the duplicate Dots working for the 1974 Sears.

“Scuse me miss I’m lookin’ for a salesgirl named Dot?”

“Do you mean Dot Ashworth who works in Ladies Lingerie? or Dot Walker over in automotive?”

I can’t decide between Odie Lecroy or Comer Preston. I’ll have another Schlitz while I mull it over. Incidentally, I imagined that Constance married a man by the name of Smoker and called her daughter Chain.

  8. You have to be careful around Mr. Sprayberry. Sounds messy.

"Constance" married someone but never took his name. She went through high schiool with my older brother in Shaker Heights, but she also went by "Connie" for most of her life.

I looked her up on Yahoo!

But Jesus, her father was a difficult man to deal with.

  10. They are all so Yummy, like skittles...

Personally, I'm glad that I'm a Walter, Walt, Wally & am incredibly happy that my best friend's name is Agnes, Ag.

And peenee is quite right, there is no finer name than Dot, Dottie.

  11. Jeppie Clowdus...joined the circus, and Lee Chestnut...roasted on an open fire..

I heard sometime ago that someone had named her daughter, "Crystal." Hate that name (along with, Kaitlyn, Meghan, Ashely, Heather, blech blech). But I digress...if it wasn't bad enough to name her "Crystal", her middle name was, "Chanda." To further add trailer to park, her last name was, you guessed it, "Leer." Let's say it all together, "Crystal Chanda Leer."

I just know he worked in the boy’s underwear department.

I had a friend whose drag name was Constance Lee Cumming.

I have a bad habit of adding “Mae” to all of my girlfriend’s names. Lindsey Mae is cute but Heather Mae…not so cute.

    Wally

I also prefer nice staunch stalwart masculine names for boys like Elmo, Dewey and Verbon.

For a time my drag name was Shanda Leer.

Don’t get me started on the Kaitlyn, Ashlyn, Jaeden, Braden rant!
