Las Vegas Muse, Viva has been a busy gal what with her exploits in feature films and headlining revues as a top notch Showgirl at the Mermaid Lounge. In DEMAND! We all need to be wanted like VIVA. I’m so jealous. However Viva was kind enough to jet in for my annual Pool Party even if it was for a romp in the dunes with Dolph Lundgren. Grace Jones is furious and has put a jihad on her HAD.

I actually tried (unsuccessfully) to be Grace Jones one year for Halloween...No, I had on a bit more than the g-string, but I got the skin make-up all wrong as I bought black face paint instead of brown...duh!...It's really the thought that counted & imitation IS the best form of flattery. I had these cool little short leather boots, tight leather trousers & a drapey, hooded sweater which I thought was glamorous but live & learn. I love you, Grace! Give a white Swedish girl from Montana credit for at least TRYING to emulate an International Superstar!
ReplyDeletePS: The Mermaid Show doesn't actually start until after Viva has consumed a minimal amount of free drink coupons. I do have enough free fun book coupons to git me through the end of August. As for where I will be publicly intoxicated in September???...That is anyone's guess & depends on which casinos send out more fun books for Nevada locals. Viva Las Vegas, Baby!

I wore one of those hooded sweaters that kind of draped across the sides of my head like Grace wore...concealing everything expect the front bangs which were combed back & sprayed w/black shellak. I looked more like a spook zombie instead of our famed Diva Miss Jones...
