Cliché:

cli·ché [klee-shey, kli]

A trite, stereotyped expression; a sentence or phrase, usually expressing a popular or common thought or idea, that has lost originality, ingenuity, and impact by long overuse.

I'm really sick of business Clichés!

Below are my top three most despised of this particular verbal disease.

1. 24/7
2. Step up to the plate.
3. My plate is full.

R.I.P.

  1. "Good to go"
    "Bottom line"
    "Problem solving"
    "I'm on it"
    "It's all good"
    "And all that good stuff"

    These make me crazy.

  2. I don't like the following:

    Awesome!
    More tea vicar?
At the end of the day... (tired old cliche)
    Lower than a worms tit
You can't judge a book by its cover (I can)
    Shall I be mother?
    I hear what you're saying...
    Get to the point!

Not exactly business cliches, I know, but it depends on what sort of business your into.

Ma bete noir is AQI, Australian Questioning intonation. When the last words of a sentence are spoken in a slightly higher tONE? so a statement becomes a quesTION? It can get very confusing.
